The Foundation Academy LLC is answering the call of employers, across industries, to provide soft skill trainings/programs

to meet employers' 21st-century workplace needs. Our facilitators are credentialed with over 100 years of industry experience

in teaching, healthcare, business, government, counseling, career readiness, and training and development. We are committed

to workforce development and teaching soft skills curriculum with proven results of self-empowerment, job attainment,

promotion, job satisfaction, increased profits, and organizational success.

In a rapidly changing economy, employers are seeking employees who possess a wide range of soft skills. Soft skills are a set

of personal attributes that refer to how individuals behave, communicate, and interact with each other in a positive manner.

Soft skills provide a foundation and they are a popular and critical competency for success in any industry. Over 90% of

organizations are redesigning roles and marrying these roles with soft skills (e.g., communication, collaboration,

professionalism, leadership, ethics, accountability, customer service, and others).

Studies show, job seekers who have the soft skills employers require, gets hired! Employees who possess a vast set of

soft skills are promoted more quickly than those who do not. Additionally, soft skills impact every element of life

(e.g., spiritual, physical, emotional, mental, social, vocational, educational, and financial) and when properly applied

they will change the trajectory of your career, enrich your life and those connected to you.

We are proud to annouce, since 2022, we have formed relationships with 300 clients and 32 businesses and organizations across

industries. The success of our programs relies on our client's/participant's ability to learn and engage concepts and routinely

apply what they learn. We are here to teach effective ways to do that!

Cynthia Jenkins, EdD

Dr. Cynthia Jenkins is the Founder and President of The Foundation Academy, LLC. She has a servant’s heart for helping, teaching, and motivating people in reaching their career, academic, and personal goals.

She is a People Builder, Soft Skills Practitioner, Educator, and Motivator. 

 

Cynthia earned her Bachelor of Science in Office Administration and Management from Northern Michigan University, Marquette Michigan, in 1989. In 2001, she earned a Master of Arts in Human Resources Development from Webster University, St. Louis, Missouri and later earned her Doctorate in Education/Global Training and Development, in March 2020 at Northcentral University, Prescott, Arizona. She completed an exploratory case study on the importance and perception of soft skills in the 21st-century workplace and the integration of soft skills into the community college curriculum.

 

Cynthia is a visionary and is often referred to as a trailblazer for her methodology of the integration of soft skills curriculum into professional development training, high school and college curricula. She recognizes the importance of soft skills to promote the whole person, to meet employer’s needs and its impact on individual and organizational success, in any industry. 

 

Cynthia coordinate and provide professional development workshops, soft skills classes/training, faculty training, staff development, conferences, and learning circles on a wide range of topics including pedagogy, andragogy, career readiness and employability skills, technology/social media, job search tips, motivation, leadership, and self-empowerment to name a few. She is a distinguish leader committed to empowering the lives of the less fortunate, youth, at-risk, and the underrepresented population through education that lead to access and opportunity for a better life. Cynthia has 27 years of professional experience in higher education, teaching soft skills, workforce development, and career training rendering professional learning opportunities for job seekers, employers, educators, and professionals across industries, and she is well renowned in the St. Louis Metro East area. 

 

Dr. Jenkins resides in the state of Illinois with her husband of 38 years. She is a loving mother and grandmother who believes when we have done our part to help other people realize their dreams and become the best version of themselves then we have fulfilled our purpose in this world.
