Grant Writing 101(Seasonal)

In this session participants will learn
important terminology, types, and components and evaluate which types of grants would best fit their organization or program. How to understand the life cycle and processes of grants and identify where their organization or program is in the grant lifecycle.
Participants will discover effective ways and places to search for grant opportunities.
Grant Writing 201(Seasonal)
​
Participants will explore interactive activities and began to discover how to conduct an effective search for grant proposals and research grant funders. And they will choose one grant funder, research potential funding opportunities from that funder and develop a proposed plan for that funder. Finaly participants will learn and incorporate grant writing strategies into a basic grant proposal and understand key grant management steps and design a simple grant management plan.
Introduction to Public Speaking
In this session participants will learn why public speaking is important and how to apply public speaking to different areas of life. Attendees will also learn how to overcome their fears, organize their thoughts, inform, persuade, and motivate their audience and become a confident and competent speaker.

Leadership
Participants will explore an array of soft skills that a good leader possesses to effectively build moral and ethical relationships in the workplace resulting in productivity, profit gains, synergy, and employee satifaction.
Time Management
Participants will learn strategies and tips on how to effectively manage time and efficiently get things done while juggling multiple tasks.
Career Education and Readiness

Job Search Strategies
In this session, participants will explore extensive career pathway modules and discover careers that meet their personal interest, education, and experiences. Participants will also learn effective job search strategies, resume writing, and interviewing tips.
Organization and Detail
Attendees will learn the importance of being organized and best practices on how to improve their organization and detail skills. They will also learn why these are two critical skills and if not properly managed can have negative consequences for self and others.
Computer Literacy
Attendees will re-learn basic computer terminology, Microsoft word, PowerPoint application, and how to effectively navigate the world wide web. Clients must have access to a laptop or desktop computer with a camera.
